One day, Farmer Joe loaded three of his pigs into the back of his truck and took them down to a neighboring farm to mate with Farmer Jones' sals.
After the pigs did their thing, Farmer Joe turned to Jones and asked, "So how do we know if it worked or not?"
"That's easy," Farmer Jones replied. "Check on them after three days. If they're rolling in the mud, then it didn't work. But if they're rolling in the clover, then it worked like a charm."
Farmer Joe nodded, thanked Farmer Jones and loaded his pigs into the back of the truck for the ten minute drive back home.
Three days later, Farmer Joe went to check on his pigs and found them rolling in the mud. Sighing to himself, he loaded them up in the back of the truck again and took them back to Farmer Jone’s farm. Once the process was completed for a second time, Farmer Joe loaded the pigs into the back of his truk and drove them back home.
Three days later, he went to check on them again. Again, he found them in the mud.
Sighing with frustration, Farmer Joe loaded the pigs back up in the back of the truck and took them down to Farmer Jones for a third time. He explained his problem to his friend and Farmer Jones did his best to ease his worry.
Three days after the third trip, Farmer Joe went down to check on the pigs. Halfway down the stairs, his wife, Edith, met him on the stairs.
“You’ll never believe where I found the pigs!” She told her husband.
Farmer Joe got excited at this. “Are they rolling in the clover?”
Edith shook her head. “No.”
Farmer Joe frowned. “They’re rolling in the mud again, aren’t they?”
“Nope. His wife replied.
Farmer Joe looked confused. “Well if they aren’t rolling in the mud and they’re not in the clover, then where in the world are they?”
“They’re waiting for you in the back of the truck!” She replied.
